Our Study Scheme

STUDENT/GRADUATE MEMBERSHIP

To qualify, you need 5 credits, including Economics, Government or History, and Geography. Sociology, Anthropology, Social Psychology, Political Science, or Human Geography students may get automatic exemptions.

PROFESSIONAL ENTRY/(PE)

To qualify, you need 5 credits, a university degree in Social, Natural, Environmental Sciences, or Law. Exemptions are available for many social sciences and law courses. This stage has three paper parts.

ASSOCIATES PROFESSIONAL SOCIOLOGISTS

Associate status is granted to B.Sc, M.Sc, and Ph.D. holders in Sociology, Social Work, Social Psychology, Anthropology, and Criminology under the direct membership scheme, which ends in 2025. Thereafter, entry will require a test and completion of one of the three paper types.

CORPORATE/INSTITUTIONAL MEMBERSHIP

Institutional membership is available to organizations that meet IPSNigeria's criteria. This membership offers access to our resources, networking opportunities, and professional development programs.
